William Morris was an English textile designer, artist, writer, and socialist associated with the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood and the Arts and Craft Movement.

The course is an introduction for those who may have heard of William Morris but would like to find out more about this 19thcenturay designer through discussion and hands on learning an interaction in a classroom based environment.

  • Famous textile designs and interiors.

Students are invited on a mystery tour/museum visit with a William Morris aspect for the second half of the day. Join us for a fresh fun and informative day! At the end of the course students will be able to identify Morris’s role and contribution to 19 Century design and modern day society .
Morris is well known for his extensive love of nature through which he was inspired to thus creating fluid and old patters within his work.
